My New Family!!

My son is finally doing the commitment thing!!  At 31, he has reach the age of wisdom and chose the most wonderful, beautiful, lovely young lady.  Mandi is a dream come true for a mom-in-law!!  Smart, beautiful, compassionate and God fearing!  She graces our family with 3 equally lovely daughters who stole my heart the moment I saw them.  I couldn't be happier!!

October 12, 2013, Derek and Mandi tie the knot!!!  This is so exciting for our family.  We will pile ourselves up in the Toy hauler and hit the road to Texas!!!  Good times, so blessed!!

 

A New Year!!!

Well, well...I have survived yet another year, and I thank my Heavenly Father for that gift.  What will become of me this year?   Will my marriage be saved?  Will I find a job and be able to support myself?  Will I be able to give back to my community and shared Christ's compassion for others?  Boy do I hope so.....I have so much faith and hope riding on this year.....and have all the confidence of God's love for me that no matter what, God's will WILL be done!!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My Granddaugther Ava is just the best and such a good girl.  She's growing up so fast, faster then I'd like.  She's said something today that was so cute, she said, "I have to watching Spongebob everyday, cause it's like he's my friend".  How sweet is that!!  She's such a pleaser, so much like me and her mom.  It's such a joy watching her grow up to find herself.

He's an Angel...

Celebrating the new little angel that has graced our lives.  Kaleb Kevin James Carlsen!!  He's a miracle, tough little soldier and a pure joy.  Looking so forward to him in my life!  Welcome handsome!!  We love you so much!!

Today will be a day to weep and remember those who were taken away from families and friends by the selfishness and disrespect of others. Thank you to all the soldiers and troops who so unselfishly protect this great country and keep our freedoms intact. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Is it just me or are things in this country getting COMPLETELY OUT OF HAND!!!  I try to stay up on all the going-ons in the government and country, and at times I am so overwhelmed and discouraged by the lack of honor and integrity.  Shame on us!!  This is the home of the brave, the land of the free, so many have sacrificed their lives for this chosen land...what will become of us!! Such a scary thought!!!  God bless us!!
